How do I add a new channel to Shipatron?

Background

A channel connects your Shipatron account to an ecommerce platform or product marketplace. Once a channel is configured, Shipatron will constantly monitor products and orders, enabling you to update other channels or trigger specific fufilment activities.

A full list of supported ecommerce platforms and marketplaces is available on the Shipatron homepage.

Notes

  • The first marketplace you connect serves as the master. Any product conflicts which arise will be resolved using the master copy of the product. Make sure you connect your primary marketplace first.
  • If you drop out of the process of adding a channel, don't worry, Shipatron will automatically save the channel as a draft, so you can come back later and pick up right where you left off.

Details needed

For most marketplaces you will need to be able to login to your ecommerce platform or product marketplace and grant Shipatron the necessary permissions, which Shipatron will guide you through. However some channels need further information:

  • Amazon: a seller ID and MWS authentication token, which will be generated during the authentication process.
  • Harvey Nichols: your API key, which is available through your Harvey Nichols Marketplace account, and your Brand Code, which is provided by your Harvey Nichols onboarding representative.
  • Mirakl: your API key and API URL, which your Mirakl marketplace representative will provide.
  • Shopify: your store name (e.g. brands-r-us.myshopify.com),
  • Squarespace a Store URL and an API Key, which you will have to generate. Learn more about squarespace API keys here.

If a store or platform is supported by Shipatron and is not listed above, then only the username and password is required.

Steps

  1. Make sure you are logged into Shipatron.
  2. Click the settings (cog) icon in the left navigation
  3. Click the "Add a channel" button in the top navigation
  4. Follow the prompts as necessary to connect your channel and input any necessary information

Next steps

Once you've created a channel within Shipatron, you then need to either setup product synchronisations or add an order fulfilment.
